Recycling and product destruction will be among the foremost topics at the Reverse Logistics Conference & Expo, taking place Feb. 3-6 in
The Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will provide the setting for the conference, which includes an exhibit hall and several programming tracks.
Organized by the Reverse Logistics Association, the conference is described as an event where third-party transportation providers “will be to help OEMs, retailers and branded companies become aware of RL support on a global basis.”
Reverse logistics is of keen interest to makers and sellers of electronics and other products that may need to be collected and disposed of or recycled using methods other than by shipping units one at a time via expensive shipping processes.
Presenters at the sessions include representatives from Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Toshiba, DEX and Intechra. Topics include:
- Repeat-Use Packaging For Supply Chain Management and How It Can Reduce Packaging Costs and Landfill Waste
- Maximizing Reverse Logistics and Asset Recovery
- Environmental Supply Chain Planning: Taking the Environment Seriously; and
- The Challenges of IT Asset Lifecycle Management in Global Companies
“This is a rich opportunity for OEMs and branded companies to identify future service partners,” the Association says of its event.
