Recycled Paper Coalition Holding BOD Meeting this Month

The board of directors for the Recycled Paper Coalition will hold its fall meeting Oct. 29th in Chicago. Persons interested in attending are asked to RSVP by Oct. 19 to rpc@econet.org or calling (650) 985-5568.

Environmental managers, purchasing agents, facilities managers, and other interested parties are invited to join the RPC Board and member organizations for a morning of stimulating discussion about factors influencing the recycled paper market and effective strategies for environmental purchasing and education.

Featured Speakers are the following

Derek Smith, Corporate Sustainability Manager of Norm Thompson and Victoria Mills of the Alliance for Environmental Innovation will describe Norm Thompson's partnership with AEI and its impact on the recycled coated paper >market.

Brian Kullman, vice president of Paper Services at R.R. Donnelley & Sons, will speak on the current economics of the recycled paper market from a >private sector perspective.

Joel Makower, president of Green Business Network, will discuss effective educational tools and strategies for environmental organizations.

Darby Hoover, executive director of the Recycled Paper Coalition, will discuss the importance of continuing to buy recycled in today's economy, and highlight the RPC's 2000 Annual Report.

A representative from a public agency purchasing department will discuss environmental purchasing strategies in the public sector.
