Recyclebank, New York City, has announced the expansion of its partnership with Republic Services, a Phoenix-based waste management and recycling company, to bring its rewards-for-recycling program to the city of East Point, Ga. The expansion plan will add around 9,000 more single-family households to RecycleBank’s program. As part of the program, residents in the city have been given 65-gallon recycling carts.
East Point joins Atlanta, Alpharetta, McDonough and Peachtree City that take part in RecycleBank’s program in the metro Atlanta area. The program began in Atlanta in November, 2009.
