The company 1-800-GOT-JUNK?, based in Vancouver, British Columbia, is partnering with RecycleBank, New York City, to help consumers boost the proper use of junk removal in New Jersey and Delaware.
Through the program, which started Jan. 19, residents in 150 communities in the two states are able to earn RecycleBank points for proper junk removal. The two companies will roll out phase two of the program this coming April.
“Our partnership with RecycleBank is critical to our success as a company that places a priority on environmental stewardship,” says Martin Stewart, 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s strategic account manager. “Our customers have told us how important responsible junk removal is to them, and we’re listening.”
I-800-GOT-JUNK? hauls consumers’ goods and, wherever possible, recycles or donates items to thrift stores and charitable organizations. With service to both residential and commercial markets, truck teams may be spotted hefting old junk from a neighbor’s attic, removing leftover items from a commercial storage locker or clearing renovation debris from a construction site.
