Recycle America Announces Electronics Recycling Partnership

Waste Management's Asset Recovery Group signs deal to handle material generated at California demanufacturing facility.

Waste Management, Inc.'s Recycle America, Inc. subsidiary, is expanding its electronics recycling infrastructure through a recycling service partnership with E-Recycling of Southern California.

Recycle America offers electronics recycling services through its Asset Recovery Group.

ERSC is opening an electronics demanufacturing facility at the Paramount Resource Recycling Facility in Paramount, Calif. Recycle America will market all the products, components and commodities produced at the ERSC facility.

“We believe this unique partnership will offer significantly expanded recycling opportunities for computer products, televisions and other electronics generated in the greater Los Angeles area,” remarked Kevin McCarthy, director of Electronics Recycling for Recycle America. “Our partnership with ERSC reflects an ongoing national rollout of our leading infrastructure and logistics services in an environmentally superior way.”

ERSC launched their services last month. The company is seeking public and private sector accounts throughout Southern California.

“With the opening of this facility, businesses and residents throughout this region now have an environmentally responsible option for handling their electronic wastes. We plan on being here for the long run, not only so we can service the cities we contract with, but to also provide this service to any other cities or haulers that find themselves without a reasonable option,” stated Arthur Kazarian of ERSC.  “We look forward to growing our relationship with Recycle America into the future.”

ERSC is an affiliate of Paramount Resource Recycling, part of the Mottra Corporate Group, Montebello, Calif.

Through its affiliated companies and facilities, the Mottra Group provides waste hauling, material recovery, transfer, composting, electronics demanufacturing, and grease abatement services throughout the Southern California region.
