Recycling software industry veteran Frank Bosco has been named as CEO and General Manager of RECY Systems Inc., the U.S.-based subsidiary of Germany’s RECY Systems AG.
The arrangement solidifies Bosco’s relationship with RECY Systems. Bosco has been a long-time value-added reseller of RECY’s scrap industry software through V.S. Bosco Co. Inc., the family business started 40 years ago by his father Vincent S. Bosco. Frank Bosco has been with the family company for more than 20 of those years.
Bosco joins another recycling software industry veteran, Larry Galbraith, to form the leadership team at RECY Systems Inc. Galbraith, who has been named chief financial officer of RECY Systems Inc., headed RECY Systems software in the North American market from the mid-1990s to 2001 when it was known as the Klarmann + Partner software firm.
“When RECY Systems AG was looking to create an expanded presence in the North American market, they determined that it made sense to have two veterans to help guide the sales and marketing efforts,” says Bosco.
Bosco and Galbraith, who will both work from the RECY Systems Inc. office in Collegeville, Pa., say they are looking forward to raising the RECY Systems profile in North America in 2010, including by attending a number of regional and national scrap industry events.
“I’m very happy to be appointed to this position and to use my knowledge of the scrap industry and my contacts as a basis to promote this product,” says Bosco. “It’s a great product that has an 80 percent market share in parts of Europe. We want to grow the market share in the United States.” Adds Galbraith, “We have approximately 20,000 people who use our software daily at more than 400 companies worldwide. Our software never sleeps.”
According to Bosco, RECY Systems Inc. intends to aggressively market the benefits of its product to the scrap industry. “RECY offers a fully-integrated solution that includes the accounting system. Our enterprise database software really covers all the aspects you need to address within a scrap operation, including inventory management, pricing for contracts, scale purchases and posting to the general ledger and accounting system.”
The Collegeville, Pa., office joins offices established by RECY Systems AG in the past two years in Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom as it increases its global footprint.
