Rebuilders Automotive Supply (RAS), Coventry, R.I., a global core supplier that focuses on web-based core sourcing and fulfillment systems for the automotive recycling industry, announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has issued the company a patent covering the company’s automotive core fulfillment system.
The web-based technology, marketed under the RAS CorePro brand, enables auto recyclers to identify valuable core parts on vehicles in their inventory that have value, generate pick lists for dismantlers and automatically generate RAS invoices for payment.
“We are proud to announce this patent award, which adds confirmation to RAS’ leadership in developing automotive core technology for an ever-evolving industry,” says Jack Bowser, RAS’ CEO in a release. “With an interchange database of over 75,000 parts, and an interface which provides recyclers easy access to core demand and pricing information, the CorePro system is a cutting-edge and critical tool that facilitates the growing global core supply chain.”
RAS currently has more 350 yards fully utilizing the CorePro system, and is seeking to activate another 350 yards by year end. CorePro is available at no cost to recyclers.
