Rapid Granulator, a Swedish maker of plastics size reduction and shredding machinery with United States operations in Leetsdale, Pennsylvania, has reached agreements with four new authorized sales agents in the U.S.
One new agent is Keystone Plastics Equipment of South Plainfield, New Jersey. That firm will be Rapid’s dedicated sales representative for eastern Virginia, eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey.
In Florida, the Rapid Granulator product line now will be offered by Palm Beach-based Koster Machinery, while Arizona Plastics Machinery of Oracle, Arizona, will handle the Rapid product line in that state.
Finally, Plymouth, Connecticut-based Inject LLC will be the Rapid Granulator sales agent in New England.
“We are proud to grow the nationwide team of experts that now represent Rapid Granulator,” Rapid North America President Jim Hoffman says. “Each of these groups brings extensive knowledge of market recycling strategies, commercial relationships and a full line of high-tech machinery for the plastic industry. They are a valuable addition to our growth initiatives within the United States.”
Rapid says the move to add sales agents rounds out "strong partnerships” developed in North America, including a new authorized sales agent announced last year for Canada. Leap Green Polymers, Ottawa, currently covers Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
Founded in 1942, Rapid's main manufacturing plant remains in its headquarters city of Bredaryd, Sweden, while in 1976, it added the production facility in Leetsdale. The firm also has offices in Germany, France, Italy, Singapore, Thailand, China, Australia, Mexico and the Philippines, plus a network of distributors in over 150 countries.
According to Rapid Granulator, it has delivered more than 100,000 machines worldwide.
