The Rotar rail cutter is now available in North America from Rotar North America, Willoughby, Ohio.
The rail cutter offers fast cycle times and high productivity, according to Rotar, which is headquartered in Genemuiden, Netherlands, with Rotar International based in Torun, Poland.
The attachment features a heavy-duty rotating headpiece and an oversized slewing ring. Its specially developed hydraulic cylinder allows the jaws to close quickly, with the combi shear easily switching between speed and power mode when the job requires cutting power, Rotar says.
The shear’s body is made from high-grade and wear-resistant materials for strength and long life.
The rail cutter’s double hose connection on the swivel and the large diameter of the hoses, bores and pipes are designed to create optimal oil flow. Rotar says this counters heat buildup in the hydraulic system, reducing the attachment’s fuel consumption.
Rotar specializes in manufacturing and distributing hydraulic attachments for the construction, demolition and scrap recycling industries. Rotar North America, which sells to customers and distributors across the U.S., Canada and Mexico, has a sales and parts office in Willoughby and 50,000 square feet of warehouse space in downtown Cleveland.
