Quincy Recycle, a national recycling and waste stream management company based in Quincy, Illinois, is opening a new recycling facility in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to expand its reach and capabilities in the Midwest. According to a news release from Quincy Recycle, the company purchased a 64,000-square-foot facility at 701 Bay Beach Rd. in Green Bay Sept. 1. The facility will operate primarily within the recovered fiber and plastics commodity markets, and the company also recycles other commodities, such as Gaylord boxes and metals.

Quincy says it is “investing heavily” in and hiring key team members for the facility, estimating it will need to hire 20 employees within the next 12 months to operate the facility, with an anticipated production start date of Jan. 1, 2021.

“The new Green Bay plant further aligns Quincy Recycle to meet the long-term supply needs of the recycling industry as it continues to grow and evolve,” says Marshall Harting, general manager at Quincy Recycle. “There is a real sense of pride from the entire Quincy Recycle team to be strategically expanding our footprint in the Midwest; growing our capabilities within the industry and offering increased service and new innovative recycling solutions to our partners throughout Wisconsin.”

The new Green Bay location is Quincy Recycle’s eighth facility in the Midwest. The company currently owns and operates a plant approximately 100 miles south in West Bend, Wisconsin. Quincy says its “success of operations in West Bend” led to the decision to expand in Green Bay.
