Quincy Recycle, a Quincy, Illinois-based paper, plastic and food scrap recycling company, has presented sales representative Brian Sixsmith with an award honoring the integrity, teamwork and drive of a former team member.
The Christl Award celebrates the legacy of Mike Christl, who worked as a senior director of sales and procurement for Quincy before his death in 2019, and a reminder of the passion, commitment and inspiring standards he set at the company.
Sixsmith has worked at Quincy Recycle for 10 years and was recognized by general managers and the sales team for representing what it means to be a standout teammate.
“The Christl Award is awarded to the sales rep who represents four different categories voted on by their peers—sales reps and general managers,” says Kurt McLaughlin, vice president of sales and marketing for Quincy Recycle. “Each category has its own criterial, including a few of our core values, such as ‘Act with Integrity,’ ‘One Team, One Dream, One Family,’ amongst others. These are all attributes that Mike Christl demonstrated and lived that made him the best teammate and competitor, our number one!”
Quincy Recycle provides recycling services for industrial, municipal and recycling operations throughout the United States, with facilities in Quincy, Illinois; Alsip, Illinois; New Haven, Indiana; West Bend, Wisconsin; Marion, Iowa; and St. Louis, Missouri.
