Quincy Recycle, a full-service commercial recycling company headquartered in Quincy, Illinois, has acquired the plant and plant assets from Imperial Paper Stock Co., Bridgeton, Missouri.
Quincy Recycle, with locations in Quincy and Alsip, Illinois; New Haven, Indiana; and Bridgeton, Missouri, says the acquisition will broaden its service area in the Midwest.
“Quincy Recycle is committed to adding value and solving problems for industrial generators of waste in the St. Louis metro area,” says Bryan Stokes, president of Quincy Recycle.
“Chad Hoener, general manager of our Bridgeton facility, has a proven track record of success in helping our clients meet their sustainability goals, while providing outstanding leadership to our associates,” Stokes adds.
In addition to paper, Quincy Recycle processes and brokers plastics, electronic scrap and food waste. The company also provides related services, including the secure destruction of documents, hard drives and other sensitive materials.
In related news, Quincy also recently acquired a building in West Bend, Wisconsin, which was formerly occupied by Nationwide Recycling, which filed for bankruptcy protection several years ago, according to one local news report.
The Wisconsin plant is expected to be operational by the end of the first quarter of 2015.
