QRS Recycling, headquartered in St. Louis, is enhancing its Louisville, Kentucky, facility in preparation for consolidating its commercial and residential paper, cardboard and single-stream processing. The upgrade includes the installation of a new Bollegraaf HBC-120MR from Van Dyk Recycling Solutions (VDRS), Stamford, Connecticut.
Matt Janson and Greg Janson, QRS Recycling co-owners, say the HBC-120MR’s ability to bale high volumes of OCC (old corrugated containers) and achieve maximum rail car weights were key capabilities that led them to purchase this model.
“The Bollegraaf baler has a great reputation in the recycling industry, and we’re excited to finally own one,” Greg says.
Matt adds, “I’m very much looking forward to having a Bollegraaf baler as part of the QRS family.”
The new baling system is scheduled to be operational in June of 2015, according to VDRS.
VDRS is a leading designer and system supplier of recycling and recovery technology and the exclusive distributor of Bollegraaf, Lubo and TITECH machinery in North America.
