PSI Schedules Fall Meeting

Florida resort will host October event.

The Paper Stock Industries Chapter (PSI) of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. has scheduled its 41st annual PSI Fall Conference for Oct. 23-26 at Amelia Island Plantation near Jacksonville, Fla.

 In other PSI news, the chapter will present the first Phil Alpert Memorial Award this year at the Fall Convention. The award is named in honor of past PSI president Phil Alpert, who passed away at an early age in November of 2001.

This award will be given to someone who has contributed at least 10 years of leadership to the PSI chapter and to the welfare of the scrap paper industry. The award will be presented for the first time at a banquet Saturday night, Oct. 26, by Phil's wife Cindy Alpert.
