The Paper Stock Industries, a national chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, will be holding a one-day summit focusing on the old corrugated container (OCC) market from 10-12:30 pm on April 17, 2013. The summit will be held in conjunction with the annual “Shoot for the Heart” fundraiser in Tunica, Miss.
The OCC Summit will focus on a range of topics, including the OCC grade description, the ability to pack and sell the grade as defined, what mills need, where more tonnage will be found and what problems loom ahead for processors and consumers. The OCC Summit will include a panel discussion and open forum.
Joel Litman, PSI president, will serve as moderator. Panelists will include Myles Cohen, Pratt Industries; Linda Leone, RockTenn; Don Majka, Waste Management; Jonathan Sloan, Canusa Hershman; Leonard Zeid, Midland Davis; and Kurt Blascoe, Republic Industries.
