The Paper Stock Industries (PSI) Chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI), Washington, has announced that in light of reported technical glitches with its online registration site, early bird registration for the 2016 Specifications Summit, scheduled for Feb. 3-5 in New Orleans, has been extended until Jan. 11, 2016. Beginning Jan. 12, registration fees increase by $70 per person.
The Specifications Summit is PSI’s second annual conference to update the definitions of scrap paper grades. More than 125 paper recycling industry professionals attended the 2015 Summit in Dallas, and PSI says it is expecting at least 200 mill buyers, brokers, MRF (material recovery facility) operators, equipment vendors and trade association representatives to attend the 2016 event, which will be at the Hyatt Regency.
The event covers issues related to recovered fiber quality, including voting to amend and delete some existing grades, establishing new grades and planning for future changes. There also will be a speech from David Arsenault, president and CEO of Hyundai America Shipping Co., as well as a networking reception and night on the town in New Orleans.
