
The Paper Stock Industries (PSI) chapter of the Washington-based Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) awarded its annual scholarships to 15 dependents of employees in the recycling divisions of PSI member companies.
This year’s awards totaled $40,000, including one $5,000 grand prize and 14 merit scholarships each worth $2,500.
Madeline Dummitt was this year's grand prize winner, earning the $5,000 scholarship. She was a four-year member of the varsity track and field, shooting and lacrosse teams, and participated in Key Club, Pep Club, Ecology Club, Investment Club and Beta Club.
