A fundraiser that was sponsored by PSC Metals was able to raise $5,000 for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn. The fundraiser teamed the scrap metal company with two local media outlets to collect recyclables at two Wal-Mart locations.
The company is planning several other fundraisers throughout Tennessee.
PSC Metals’ Troy Blanton presented the check recently to Laura S. Allen, the hospital’s director of development, who praised the company’s “Recycle for the Children” fundraiser.
“We are so appreciative of the gift from PSC Metals and look forward to other events where, with them, we can raise awareness and funds” for the hospital’s Center for Child Development, Allen said.
