The board of directors of the metals recycling company PSC Metals (www.pscmetals.com), Mayfield Heights, Ohio, has announced that Robert Brewer has been named chief executive officer of PSC Metals, effective Sept. 4, 2012.
Brewer is a metals recycling industry veteran with experience in operations and leadership, PSC says. He most recently served as executive vice president of the scrap metal company OmniSource, where he was responsible for 38 scrap recycling facilities in the company’s southeastern region. Previously, he served as vice president of ferrous operations for OmniSource, with primary oversight of the company’s Midwest region.
“I’m thrilled to have this opportunity at PSC Metals to demonstrate that we can be successful despite the current challenges in the scrap metal sector,” Brewer says. “I’m looking forward to focusing on our core business issues and leveraging the enormous strengths of our infrastructure and our people.”
Brewer will be located at PSC Metals’ headquarters.
