ProMed Waste Solutions LLC, St. Petersburg, Florida, has hired Travis Deering as its general manager of operations. In the new role Deering will oversee operations in the state of Florida for the medical waste management company.
ProMed was founded in 2011 with operations in the Orlando area and now offers services throughout Florida. The privately held company has a facility in Miami and one near Orlando. ProMed provides services to medical waste generators, including hospitals, doctors, dentists, veterinarians, research labs and surgery centers. It offers services for the handling of hazardous waste, pharmaceutical waste, electronic scrap and solid waste.
Deering has worked in management roles for more than 20 years in the medical waste services industry. Most recently, he served as senior district manager for the Healthcare Solutions Division of Waste Management Inc. He also owned and operated his own medical waste company for more than 14 years.
