Swedish baler manufacturer Presona AB has agreed to be acquired by Inducore AB, another Swedish firm that owns several other industrial services and products portfolio companies.
Inducore Group as includes several specialized operational businesses that provide system solutions, products, components, logistics solutions and contract manufacturing to the Swedish market and beyond.
"We are very pleased that Inducore will become our new owner,” says Stefan Bengtsson, board chair of Presona. “They are known for their long-term approach and deep understanding of how to develop industrial companies. We see several potential synergies that will strengthen both Presona and Inducore’s other businesses. We thank our previous owners for 15 years of good cooperation.”
The transaction is structured so Inducore will own 100 percent of the shares of Presona AB, a producer of balers with prepress technology sold to recyclers of old corrugated containers and other secondary commodities.
Presona also supplies air systems for the printing, paper and packaging industries. The company will be integrated into Inducore's System Solutions business.
“Inducore possesses solid industrial expertise and is the right strategic owner for Presona,” Presona CEO Stefan Ekström says. “I see great opportunities in becoming part of a larger industrial group, while also strengthening the Presona brand.”
Other Inducore portfolio companies make truck bodies and provide cutting machining, welding, painting and other components and maintenance services to the energy, food processing, packaging and forestry sectors.
“We are pleased to welcome Presona to Inducore,” Inducore CEO Magnus Biesse says. “The company aligns well with our strategy, and we look forward to developing the business further in close collaboration with the team in Tomelilla."
