Preparations continue for the inaugural Metalriciclo conference—an international conference on scrap metal recycling, according to the event’s organizer, Italian publishing company Edimet.
The event will be Sept. 14-16, 2006, at the Garda Fair Centre in Montichiari, Brescia, Italy. It will cover technologies, products and equipment for the collection, selection, processing, recycling and re-use of ferrous and nonferrous scrap metal.
Metalriciclo’s target audience includes car-crushers, collectors and recyclers of scrap metal, scrap processors, waste disposal organizations and traders in recycled metals, as well as associations and institutions associated with recycling.
The session schedule includes a session on ferrous metal, focusing on the recovery of metals from ELVs on the morning of Sept. 14. The afternoon session that day will focus on nonferrous metals and will include a roundtable discussion. The morning session on Sept. 15 will address technology for processing ferrous and nonferrous metal.
A number of special events are still being planned.
