Precision AirConvey Installs New 52-inch Roll Splitter In Test Center

Recycling equipment manufacturer, Precision AirConvey, adds second model to accommodate larger rolls.

Recycling equipment manufacturer Precision AirConvey, Newark, Del., has installed a full-size PAC Model 52 Roll Splitter in its in-house test laboratory to permit testing on rolls up to 52 inches long with diameters up to 40 inches wide.

Placed alongside the company's PAC Model 30 Roll Splitter, which accommodates 30-inch long rolls with diameters up to 15 inches, the PAC Model 52 Roll Splitter automatically removes plastic film, foil, holographic film, nonwovens, paper and other off-spec, startup or waste materials rolled onto a core without contacting the core itself. Removed in seconds without dangerous, manual methods, the resulting high purity, contaminant-free material is ready for immediate reprocessing or for sale as high value scrap while the core remains intact and ready for reuse.

To test the performance of the PAC Model 52 Roll Splitter on a specific material, PAC invites converters, packagers, plastic processors, scrap material brokers and others to send an actual roll of material to the company's test laboratory at its Delaware-based headquarters for a free trial. The PAC Model 52 Roll Splitter is one of four different models in the line.
