Potlatch Corp. announced plans to close its Brainerd, Minn., paper mill and exit the coated printing papers business May 13. Part of the mill will continue to operate through May 17 to finish processing inventories.
The decision to exit the printing papers business was announced in March. At that time the company also announced that it would sell its Cloquet, Minn., coated paper facilities to Sappi Ltd.
