Portec Awarded The Colorado 2008 Governor's Award for Excellence in Exporting

Portec Flomaster, Cañon City, Colo., a manufacturer of specialty conveyors, has been awarded the 2008 Governor's Award for Excellence in Exporting. This award honors Colorado companies that have made outstanding contributions to exporting from Colorado during the past year.

 

Portec was awarded the 2008 Export Award for a Large Sized Manufacturer in the state of Colorado. Governor Bill Ritter presented the official award at the World Trade Day breakfast, May 1, 2008, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Downtown Denver. Almost 1,500 of Portec's products can be seen in the new Beijing Capital International Airport and the new Shanghai Pudong Airport in China. Portec's international efforts have contributed to 21 percent of its annual sales.

 

Portec Flomaster’s specialty material handling equipment has been incorporated in airport baggage handling systems, mail and parcel handling, manufacturing, distribution, food processing facilities, cement plants, fertilizer plants, salt plants, printing plants, etc. around the world.
