The 2012 Platts Aluminum Symposium, taking place Jan. 15-17 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., is offering a speaker roster with 20 presenters from some of the aluminum industry’s largest companies.
Among the speakers at the event are:
- Gregory Wittbecker, vice president, Alcoa Materials Management;
- Nick Madden, chief procurement officer and vice president, Novelis Inc.;
- Susan Hubbard-Peters, director of materials and standards, Boeing;
- Larry Snyder, executive vice president, Sims Metal Management;
- Tom Akers, president, Metal Exchange Corp.;
- Blair Stewart, consultant, Ohio Valley Aluminum;
- Matt Bedingfield, supply chain manager of global recycling, Novelis Inc.;
- Tom Schabel, CEO, Alexandria Extrusion Co.;
- Jeffrey Henderson, vice president of marketing, Sapa North America; and
- Ayrton Filleti, senior consultant and emeritus president, Brazilian Aluminum Association
Among the topics on the agenda, according to Platts, are an aluminum outlook for 2012; secondary scrap markets and the aluminum supply chain; the state of the global economy and its impact on aluminum; demand outlook for alumina and bauxite; and factors affecting aluminum trading and supply.
