The Washington-based Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) and Vinyl Sustainability Council (VSC) have announced a call for presentations for 2025 Vinyl Week, a vinyl industry event for processors, suppliers and sustainability leaders scheduled for Dec. 9-12 in New Orleans. The organizers say Vinyl Week brings together two flagship industry events—the PLASTICS Vinyl Compounders Conference and the Vinyl Institute Sustainability Summit—into one collaborative forum.

“Vinyl Week continues to spotlight the innovation, creativity and leadership that define the plastics industry,” says Ashley Hood-Morley, PLASTICS senior vice president of industry engagement. “We’re calling on bold, forward-thinking professionals to submit proposals that spark conversation, share fresh ideas and help shape the future of our industry.”

Jay Thomas, executive director of the VSC, says, “We're proud to once again partner with PLASTICS to bring Vinyl Week to life. This event has become a cornerstone for collaboration and progress in our industry, and we look forward to building on this momentum in 2025.”

PLASTICS and VSC say they welcome presentations that align with Vinyl Week’s commitment to innovation, market insight and sustainability and address a range of topics of interest to leaders in the vinyl industry, including but not limited to:

  • sustainable design and incorporating sustainability into product design and production;
  • next generation vinyl through biobased feedstocks, renewable polymers and net-zero polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin;
  • technologies and programs to advance postconsumer PVC recycling;
  • global plasticizer and PVC market trends and opportunities; and
  • technology trends related to the flexible vinyl marketplace.

Presentation proposals must be submitted by Aug. 15. Accepted speakers will be notified Sept. 15. Interested parties can submit proposals at this link

The Vinyl Institute Sustainability Summit will kick off the week with a full day dedicated to sustainable practices, innovation and policy. It will be followed by PLASTICS’ 35th Annual Vinyl Compounders Conference, featuring two days dedicated to the technology, markets and materials shaping the future of the vinyl industry.

The organizers say Vinyl Week draws attendees from across the vinyl value chain, including resin and plasticizer producers, compounders, formulators, converters, recyclers and manufacturers of both industrial and consumer products.

Registration for Vinyl Week will open in August.  Click here for event details, registration updates and more.
