Plastics says its leadership, joined by representatives from across the plastics value chain, will meet with state legislators to discuss the role plastics play in modern life and the importance of advancing practical policies that strengthen recycling systems, support innovation and improve how materials are recovered and reused.
“California has long been a leader in environmental policy, and the plastics industry shares the goal of building stronger, more effective recycling systems,” says Ivy Brittain, regional director of state government affairs at Plastics. “By working collaboratively with lawmakers and stakeholders, we can advance policies that improve recycling outcomes while ensuring the products Californians rely on every day remain affordable and sustainable.
