The Environmental Division of the Society of Plastics Engineers will be hosting its Global Plastics Environmental Conference (GPEC 2006) at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel - Atlanta Airport in Atlanta, Georgia. The theme of GPEC 2006 is "Environmental Sustainability & Recycling in Action."
The conference will be held Feb. 28-March 2. Interested parties registering before Feb. 17 will receive a reduced rate for the program.
The SPE has a significant amount of information on its Web site, www.sperecycling.org on the conference, as well as speakers. These include the following:
1. Information on the plant tour of the Mohawk PET recycling facility
2. Abstracts (56 technical papers, 2 plenary speakers, and 4 student posters)

of the eight organizations who will be receiving these awards)
