Northwest Refuse Inc., Jackson, Mich., has announced plans to build a recycling facility in Jackson, according to a report in the Citizen Patriot (Jackson, Mich.).
The proposed 100-foot-by-180-foot facility would accept municipal solid waste as well as construction and demolition material, according to the report. It would sort out and process recyclables for resale.
The proposal needs approval from the state Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Blackman Township.
