The city of Phoenix, which started a RecycleBank collection program with 30,000 households on Nov. 30, 2009, has added 35,000 more households to the program on Jan. 18. The city expects to add another 35,000 houses by the end of this coming March.
The partnership between Phoenix and RecycleBank is part of the city’s 17-point “Green Phoenix” plan designed to make Phoenix the greenest city in the United States.
