Philip Services Corp.'s auditor, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, resigned earlier this month, according to a Form 8-K Philip Services filed April 24th with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company also said that one of its directors, R. William Van Sant, resigned April 20th.
No reason was given for the resignations and there was no indication that the resignations were connected.
Philip Services said it had no disagreements with its former auditor, although Pricewaterhouse Coopers' report on its 2000 annual financial statements mentioned a potential default under the company's debt agreements.
