Merrimack, New Hampshire-based Plastics Forming Enterprises (PFE) has announced its independent postconsumer packaging laboratory has received ISO 17025 accreditation. PFE says this will ensure its laboratory operates competently and generates valid results, as outlined on the ISO website.
With approximately 40 years of experience in the plastics recycling industry, PFE says ISO certification has become increasingly important to support industry expectations. The company credits work from Quality Assurance Manager Kathryn Goodale and Technical Director Matthew Levesque for achieving this accreditation.
“PFE has a longstanding commitment in supporting the plastic industry in assessing and improving recyclability of plastic packaging, which has been emphasized through their continued collaboration with the Association of Plastics Recyclers and Recyclass,” says Fabrizio Di Gregorio, technical director of Plastics Recyclers Europe. “Their recently obtained ISO 17025 accreditation serves as a testament to this commitment and the investment efforts they made toward accelerating the transition toward a plastic future.”
PFE says it will strive to hold ISO 17025 accreditation in order to meet industry standards of competency and credibility.
“I couldn’t be prouder of our team and the accomplishment they have completed,” PFE President Kristi Hansen says. “This success is something they worked so hard to achieve and only adds to our long-standing portfolio.”
