The Wyndham Bund East Hotel in Shanghai will serve as the home of the 2013 China International Recycled Polyester Conference, to be held Sept. 11-13.
According to Star Chow of the China Chemical & Fiber Economic Information Network (CCFEI), one of the organizers of the event, it is the ninth such event co-organized by the groups. Last year’s event drew some 400 attendees, according to Chow. CCFEI bills the conference as the “major annual meeting for recycled fiber producers, traders, suppliers of flake, equipment and finish-oil/accessories, etc.”
Among the topics of presentations at the September event will be:
• the status of the polyethylene (PET) industry in China;
• recycled polyester in a global context: virgin versus bio versus RPET;
• bottle-to-bottle PET recycling; and
• applications for different types of recycled fiber.
Chow says early bird specials for those registering before August 11 include a discounted rate of $200 per person and a complimentary copy of the Directory of Chinese Chemical Fiber Producers (2013), to be received at the conference.
Those seeking more information or wishing to register can go to http://www.ccfei.net/Conference/PublicityDetail.aspx?confid=89 or can e-mail Star Chow at starchow@cnfiber.com.
