The state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has ordered Perry County Metal Inc. of Carroll Township, Pa., to stop accepting materials for recycling, citing the company with several permit violations, according to a report in the Patriot-News (Harrisburg, Pa.).
The DEP has cited the company for processing demolition debris without a permit, storing material on site for more that a year, operating a transfer station without a permit, dumping solid waste on the ground and storing material without a permit, according to the report.
