Pepsi-Cola North America is launching a limited-edition series of Mountain Dew aluminum bottles that bear designs created by various artists. The aluminum bottle will offer the products in select markets from May to October.
According to Pepsi-Cola North America, this is the first time in the United States that a carbonated soft drink has been offered in an aluminum bottle. Over the past few years, brewers have started offering beer in aluminum bottles, in part to keep beer colder for longer. It has also proven to be an effective marketing ploy.
