Pennex Aluminum Co., headquartered in Wellsville, Pennsylvania, has announced that Chuck Stout has been promoted to president of the Pennex Extruded Products Division. In his new role, Stout will be responsible for the overall strategic, financial, commercial and operational functions for the company’s extruded products businesses in Wellsville and York, Pennsylvania, and in Leetonia, Ohio.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Stout joined Pennex in 2016 as general manager of the Leetonia location. His previous roles in the manufacturing industry include plant manager and vice president of operations. Stout’s office will remain in Leetonia.
“It is an honor to take the reins of a very successful extrusion business and lead a highly engaged team of people that are extremely committed to serving our customers,” Stout says. “They are incredibly proud of their past recognition as tops in the industry in total customer satisfaction and energetically carry on that legacy.”
“Chuck adeptly navigated our Ohio location through the $25 million expansion of our advance manufacturing fabrication facility,” says Rick Merluzzi, chief executive officer of St. Louis-based Metal Exchange Corp., Pennex’s parent company. “He personifies our core values of safety, integrity, respect and drive and clearly embraces our ‘dual bottom line’ leadership style, which prioritizes the safety and well-being of employees equal to financial success.”
Since 1979, Pennex has supplied aluminum extrusions to its mid-Atlantic, Northeast, Southeast and upper Midwest region customers. From casting billet through extruding custom shapes to fabricating finished components, Pennex services a wide range of aluminum extrusion markets, including automotive, transportation, building and construction, electrical and machinery and consumer durables and distribution. The company has four locations throughout the United States in Leetonia, Wellsville, York and in Greenville, Pennsylvania.
