PC Scale Introduces Scale Monitoring Module

Application offers reporting capabilities.

PC Scale Inc., Oxford, Pa., a developer and provider of scale house software, has developed the Scale Monitoring Module that facilities audit scale activity by logging ticketed and non-ticketed weighments, ensuring that all traffic crossing the scale is legitimate and that no vehicles cross the scale without a weight being captured.

Using the module, the system administrator can set a minimum weight to be captured. The module will then generate a report on all weighments over the specified weight. The Scale Monitoring Module and its auditing capabilities run independent of the main PC Scale ticketing application, enabling the module to record weighments while the computer is on, even if the ticket application is closed. Access to the module is completely outside of the main PC Scale application to prevent unauthorized end-users from stopping or bypassing the monitor, according to the company.

Scale Monitoring Module reports are controlled from within PC Scale’s security settings, so management can grant or restrict access. The Scale Monitoring Module comes with three standard reports: scale log, ticket-to-scale log comparison and scale log-to-ticket comparison. Custom reports are available upon request.
