PC Disposal, a New Century, Kansas-based provider of IT asset disposition (ITAD), secure data destruction and electronics recycling services, says it has renewed its National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) AAA certification status.

The company says NAID AAA Certification, which is issued by the Phoenix-based International Secure Information Governance & Management Association (i-SIGMA), “is the highest global standard in secure data destruction.”

“Renewing our NAID AAA Certification reinforces what our clients already know: that PC Disposal is one of the most secure and reliable ITAD companies in the industry,” says Brent Hanson, president of the company.

“Enterprise IT departments and compliance officers can trust that every piece of hardware we process is handled in a way that eliminates risk, satisfies regulatory requirements and safeguards their organization from data-related liability,” adds Hanson.

PC Disposal says renewal of the certification confirms that it continues to meet stringent requirements for data security, chain of custody documentation, employee screening, facility access control and destruction procedures.

The company says elements of its certified services include that it takes legal title to retired IT equipment, protecting clients from downstream liability. PC Disposal says it also provides $1 million data security guarantee tied to its data destruction services.

PC Disposal says its data wiping procedures meet National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) guidelines, and clients receive a certificate of data destruction identifying equipment by serial number.

Equipment with residual value can be remarketed through PC Disposal’s resale channels, “maximizing return on investment” for customers, says the firm.

“Data security doesn’t end when equipment leaves your facility,” says Hanson. “Our NAID AAA certification, robust security protocols and $1 million guarantee ensure that every hard drive, server and device we process is handled with absolute care and accountability.”

PC Disposal started operating in 1998 and the company says its customers include United States government agencies and companies in the banking, financial, health care and insurance industries.
