The Paper Stock Industries (PSI) chapter of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries Inc. (ISRI) is preparing for its annual meeting, to be held Oct. 22-25 in the San Diego area.
The event takes place at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif. Its theme, according to chapter officers, is “The Amazing World of Paper Recycling.”
Several topics will be addressed in sessions taking place during the meeting, including commodity indexes and price transparency; waxed box recycling; domestic and export market trends; and identity theft and other crimes against businesses.
The guest keynote speaker is California radio personality Roger Hedgecock of KOGO AM 600 in San Diego.
PSI committees will also meet, and several social and recreational opportunities are also offered as part of the event, including a golf outing on Wednesday, Oct. 22; golf and tennis tournaments on Saturday, Oct. 25; and a wine blending reception on Thursday evening, Oct. 23, sponsored by Van Dyk Baler Corp.
