The Dublin, Ireland-based recycling company Panda Recycling has announced plans to invest around €5 million (US$7.6 million) to significantly increase its operations in Dublin by the first half of 2015. The expansion will include the addition of 50 new jobs. The company says the expansion will cement its position as the largest Irish owned and managed recycling company in Ireland.

Brian McCabe, Panda Recycling’s CEO, says, “These jobs reflect Panda’s continuing growth and expansion in what is a highly competitive and challenging market. They are high-end positions that will help us to continue to lead the field in innovation and also to deliver better, faster and cleaner waste management and recycling services to more and more people.”
Panda Recycling presently operates processing facilities in Ballymount, Dublin, Cappagh and Beauparc in County Meath. The expansion will include adding a new hybrid fleet to the company’s operations. In addition to operating collection centers the company, through its Irish Packaging Recycling Division, trades more than 220,000 metric tons of recovered fiber per year, primarily to export markets.
