Pan Asia Paper Names Chairman

Norske Skog CEO Jan Reinås will become new board chairman of Pan Asia Paper Co. Pan Asia is jointly owned by Norske Skog and Abitibi Consolidated.

Andre von Hattum, presently vice president of Pan Asia, will become new CEO.

Pan Asia Paper Co is the largest newsprint supplier in Asia, outside Japan. The company has two paper mills in Korea, and one each in China and Thailand, with total production capacity of nearly 1.5 million metric tons.
