The German machine manufacturer the Pallmann Group www.pallmannindustries.com/, headquartered in Zweibrücken, Germany, and Spanish tire recycler Gestión Mediambiental de Neumáticos (GMN) www.gmn.es have announced a partnership to jointly develop, build and sell complete tire shredding and reprocessing plants. The products will be marketed under the Ecotrec name and encompass all modules necessary for recycling car and truck tires. The Ecotrec systems separate scrap tires into their various raw materials.
According to the company, the systems to be marketed under the partnership includes Pallmann’s Lion and Tiger shredder units, the Panther granulators and Eco-Sep separators, as well as complete conveyor and control technology. Initially, the companies will focus on marketing the product line in Europe and North America.
“Instead of going up in smoke, old tires are turned into valuable resources,” says Carlos Gomez, head of Pallmann’s Spanish subsidiary. “With the costs of raw materials continuing to increase on the world markets, the proposition is likely to become even more economically attractive than it already is today.”
