Pacific Steel & Recycling, based in Great Falls, Mont., has acquired the assets of Triple R Metals, located in Medicine Hat, Alberta, north of Great Falls. The recycling facility has been in business 10 years under the ownership of Bart Campbell.
The acquisition marks the first operation for Pacific Steel & Recycling outside the United States. Triple R Metals’ employees will be retained by PHF Steel & Recycling. Managing the new facility will be James Knick, who previously managed Pacific Steel & Recycling’s transloads facility at the Port of Tacoma.
