Pacific Recycling of Eugene, Oregon, has installed a complete shredder system from US Shredder.
The heavy duty 80108 shredder from the US Shredder and Castings Group, Miramar Beach, Florida, was engineered as a turnkey system, including the motor house design, hydraulic and electrical systems as well as civil and foundation requirements. Mechanical installation also was provided by US Shredder, the company reports.
US Shredder says the shredder includes its heavy duty Spider Rotor as well as castings and wear parts from the company's wear part division. The system is driven by a 4000 horsepower DC drive system supplied by AmeriMex of Houston. All system conveyors and structural were supplied by US Conveyor of Mackinaw, Illinois. The nonferrous system includes trommel, screen, three eddy currents and sensors. According to US Shredder, the system is designed to provide production of up to 150 tons per hour.
The US Shredder and Castings Group offers scrap shredders, control systems, downstream systems, nonferrous recovery and air systems as well as shredder castings, service, engineering, construction and installation to the worldwide scrap industry.
