Members of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Southeast Regional Roundtable invite interested residents, municipalities and members of the business community to attend an informational meeting on recycling Nov. 19 in DEP’s regional office in Conshohocken, Montgomery County.
This meeting will focus on waste reduction practices, discussing how municipalities across the nation are dramatically increasing waste diversion and reducing costs, while taking advantage of technology, recovering new materials and improving collection efficiency practices.
Featured speakers include Maurice Sampson of the Institute for Philadelphia Self Reliant; John Purves, Environmental Waste Attorney; David Dienno of Blue Mountain Recycling; and David Robinson of Philadelphia’s Recycling Office.
The DEP Southeast Regional Roundtable is a volunteer group of citizens, consultants, government officials and industry/business representatives who are interested in environmental issues.
Individuals who would like to attend the meeting and need of an accommodation as provided for in the Americans With Disabilities Act should call DEP Community Relations Coordinator Lynda Rebarchak at 610-832-6219 or through the Pennsylvania AT&T Relay Service at 1-800-654-5984.
