The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection have formed a partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles. Under the partnership, the team will recycle plastic, aluminum and glass at Veteran’s Stadium, the soon to be completed Lincoln Financial Field and at the Eagles practice facility at the nearby Nova Care Complex.
“DEP works hard at promoting strong sustainable environmental partnerships, especially recycling, which is the single best way each citizen can make Pennsylvania greener and cleaner”, said Secretary Hess. “When the waste at a facility the size of Veteran’s Stadium is recycled, it makes for a significant reduction in waste going to landfills.”
Football fans at the games can look for the recycling containers to deposit their drink cans and bottles.
“We are pleased to have the support of the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection as we embark on this recycling initiative at NovaCare Complex and we hope that our collection of recyclables prior to Eagles games will get our fans used to this kind of important program prior to our move into Lincoln Financial Field," said Joe Banner, Eagles’ presidentLatest from Recycling Today
