Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection Secretary Kathleen A. McGinty is reminding businesses and nonprofit organizations that $1 million is available for recycling markets infrastructure development grants, which finance the purchase of machinery or equipment that will increase consumption of recyclable materials recovered in the commonwealth.
“By assisting businesses to increase the use of recyclable materials in their products, these grants will help build market demand for recycled materials," McGinty says. "The success of the commonwealth’s recycling programs is directly related to demand for recyclable goods.”
The department will award grants of up to $500,000 to any one recycling infrastructure development project. Applications will be accepted until March 4.
