Owens-Illinois, Inc. announced as part of a new, expanded contract with Anheuser- Busch, Inc., it will build a new glass container manufacturing plant to be the primary supplier to the Anheuser-Busch brewery in Fort Collins, Colorado.
This plant will be located in Northeast Colorado or Southeast Wyoming at a site to be determined. The plant is expected to start production in early 2005, and will manufacture 12-ounce bottles. Upon reaching full capacity, the plant will be among the highest output glass container plants in the United States, producing more than one billion bottles a year.
Owens-Illinois is the largest manufacturer of glass containers in North America, South America, Australia and New Zealand, and one of the largest in Europe. O-I has 25 glass container manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada, and a total of 68 worldwide.Latest from Recycling Today
