Orwak, a Tomra Group company based in Sweden, has signed an agreement with FCC, a Spain-based waste management firm, for the delivery of 262 Orwak balers.
Orwak’s distributor in Spain, Internaco S.A., will install the balers, which comprise models Orwak 3110, 3210 and 3410, throughout the Spanish supermarket chain Eroski during the first half of this year. The order is part of a larger agreement in which FCC becomes responsible for the waste management of cardboard boxes generated within the Eroski chain of stores.
According to Stefan Ek, Managing Director of Orwak Group AB, “The commitment we have received from FCC and Eroski is very important to us, and we look forward to delivering on their expectations. We also view this relationship as an opportunity for growth in the years ahead, and further consolidation as a market leader within the baler sector in Spain.”
